Helen Low

Helen grew up in England and learned to kayak as a teenager. She has a Masters in Outdoor Education and worked for Outward Bound for 11 years in England, Hong Kong, New Zealand and the States before becoming a raft guide. She has worked on rivers in Nepal and Ecuador and started working in Idaho on the Middle Fork in 1997. In the winter months she am the Director of the Nordic Center in Durango, Colorado. When she returns to the Middle Fork of the Salmon each summer she feels like she has returned home. It makes he heart happy! Helen guides any water vessel with ease, from the sweep boat to an oar raft to a paddle raft, she is right at home. Guests love her warm hearted demeanor and her keen insights and knowledge of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Area.
