Jesse Stark

An Idaho native, Jesse grew up on the Salmon River. He spent every summer of his childhood exploring the ridges of the Salmon River canyon at his parent’s cabin in Shoup, Idaho.  He has always been passionate about the outdoors, taking his first river trip down the Middle Fork at 12 years old.  That trip sparked his interest in river guiding and he has been guiding the Middle Fork and Main Salmon Rivers since 2007.  In addition to rafting, Jesse is also an avid bow hunter, having spent the last 10 off-seasons living in New Zealand as a hunting guide.  His experience in New Zealand offered him the opportunity to tackle foreign rivers and obtain wicked campfire stories.  Jesse runs the MFRE Sweep boat “Fiona,” the oldest on the river that has run the Middle Fork since 1953.
