Hunter Verde

Hunter is from a place where bayous are far more prevalent than white water. Born in southeast Texas, he would soon migrate to Mississippi, where he attended college. It was there through the Ole Miss Outdoor Department, that rivers began to influence his life. School backed trips to the Ocoee and Chatooga drove this passion, and planted the seed of love for the river. Post graduation led Hunter to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he’s been eddied out for the past 11 years. Outside is his preferred place of peace. Ski tours in the winter, high water spring run off, and fall mountain biking and hunting occupy his time. He works as a Ski Patroller by winter and was a guide on the local stretch in the Snake river canyon for quite some time. However, after following the wise advice of fellow ski patrollers and long time MFRE guides, Hunter made the decision to call Stanley, Idaho his summer base camp, and couldn’t be more stoked for his first full summer with MFRE!
