Larry (Magoo) McGowan and Bev Angel

Magoo started guiding in Grand Canyon in 1969 and soon migrated to the Middle Fork and has worked here and lived in Stanley ever since. Larry is as kind as they come, is fun loving but also a work horse, never shying away from hard work.  In 2013 he was awarded the “Guide of the Year” award by the Idaho Guides and Outfitter Association.  His partner Bev Angel has over 3 decades guiding experience on the Middle Fork as well. Both are excellent fishing guides.  All trip members who get the pleasure of having Magoo on a trip always say he is one of the highlights of the trip.  Some say he is part Yoda and part Leprichan, but we know he is Magoo, the one and only.  Magoo has worked with MFRE since 2012.
